Jordan's King accepts resignation of ministers for violating Covid-19 precautionary measures

Amman: Jordan's King Abdullah II accepted on Sunday the resignation of Justice Minister Bassam Talhouni and Interior Minister Ibrahim Mubaideen from their positions as of Feb. 28, 2021.

The King approved the assigning of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration Tawfiq Kreishan to administer the Ministry of Interior, and Minister of State for Legal Affairs Ahmad Ziadat to administer the Ministry of Justice, as of today.

Local Jordanian media reported that the Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh had asked the Ministers of Interior and Justice to submit their resignations from the government, for violating the precautionary and preventive measures to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
