Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received a phone call today from the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt HE Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
During the call, they reviewed the latest security developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international peace and stability.
Both sides emphasized the need for an immediate cessation of escalation and the prioritization of dialogue to safeguard regional security and prevent further escalation.
In this context, HE the Egyptian President affirmed the solidarity of the Arab Republic of Egypt with the State of Qatar and the other Arab states that were subjected to the brutal attack.
He reiterated Egypt's unequivocal condemnation of the targeting of Qatari territory with Iranian ballistic missiles, stressing Egypt's readiness to stand shoulder to shoulder with the State of Qatar and the affected Arab states in all measures they take to preserve their sovereignty and enhance their security and stability.
For his part, HH the Amir expressed his profound gratitude and deep appreciation for Egypt's positions and its unwavering support for the State of Qatar.
