Qatar ready for 2018 World Championship, says QGF President

Qatari gymnast Ahmed Al Dayani in action during the pommel horse event on the opening day of the Ninth Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series at Aspire Dome on Friday. Ali Al Hitmi, President of Qatar Gymnastics Federation praised the performances of Qatari gymnasts during the 9th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series, Ahmed Al Dayani and Farah Tarek in particular.

 

Doha: President of Qatar Gymnastics Federation (QGF) Ali Al Hitmi expressed his delight with the success of 9th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series, which concluded on Saturday.  
Speaking to the press, Al Hitmi said that the competition was a rehearsal ahead of hosting Gymnastics World Championships in two years’ time. 
He expressed his belief that Qatar will deliver a strong competition in 2018. 
He said that the 9th Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series was perfect in all aspects, whether it was the organization, participation or the level of attendance from the fans. 
He also highlighted that the latter in particular exceeded all expectations. 
Al Hitmi then thanked Qatar Olympic Committee for their support that helped make the gymnastics world cup series a success. 
The QGF President also praised the performances shown by Qatari gymnasts during the competition. He praised Ahmed Al Dayani and Farah Tarek in particular.QNA
