Dubai: Qatar has participated in the Arab Media Summit 2025, which kicked off on Monday at the Dubai World Trade Center.

Minister of Culture H E Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani headed the country’s delegation to the summit.

The summit, which concludes today (May 28), attracts prominent figures, political and media figures, editors-in-chief, and leaders of media institutions.

The summit is attended by approximately 8,000 media professionals and those interested in the media sector from within the UAE and across the Arab world, in addition to content creators, influencers, media technology experts, and academics, to discuss the prospects for media development in the coming period.

The first day of the summit featured sessions that discussed modern media technologies, content creation, and advanced technology, as well as the role of artificial intelligence in shaping the contemporary Arab media landscape.

The first day’s activities also included celebrating the Arab youth media award “Ibdaa” (Creativity).

The summit’s agenda includes more than 175 main sessions and over 35 workshops, presented by major global media institutions and digital platforms.

The summit is also scheduled to honour the Media Personality of the Year and the winners of the Arab Media Awards in various categories.

The summit’s final day will feature the Arab social media influencers summit, which will coincide with a ceremony honouring the winners of the Arab social media influencers award.
