The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change calls on farm owners to adhere to camel grazing ban.
The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC), represented by the Department of Wildlife Protection, has taken legal action against violators of camel grazing in the southern regions of Qatar.
According to MOECC, this comes within the scope of implementing Ministerial Resolution No. (188) of 2021 regarding the extension of the ban on camel grazing in the country.
The necessary legal measures have been taken against the violators, the Ministry announced on its official Twitter handle.
The MoECC had previously confirmed that parks and wildlife are of a sensitive nature that requires protection by prohibiting camel grazing in them, especially with the shortage of rainfall rates during the last period.
The Ministry also commends the understanding of farm owners of the reasons for the ban on grazing, which reflects their awareness of the importance of protecting Qatar's natural environment and wildlife.
The patrols of Department of Protection and Wildlife at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment work round the clock and receive all reports from citizens and residents regarding any environmental violations.
