DOHA: Qtel will host another gathering of diverse communities of people from all walks of life in an event at the Landmark Mall today. Those who will join are urged to share their thoughts about good moral beliefs as part of a campaign in support of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
A special wall across Lacoste shop illustrated with an inspirational quote from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the image of a traditional wax seal for a letter will be ready for those who will come and support the campaign.
A similar event was held on the same venue where people came to express their messages about good deeds during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Starting from 6pm, people will be able to write on stickers and place them on the wall. Qtel is expecting a wide range of Doha’s diverse population to join in the communal spirit and write inspiring quotes, actions for good deeds, and recommendations on good moral behaviour.
Qtel will also set up a photo booth for participants, who will be able to find their photos on the Qtel Facebook page. Qtel is also expecting to make a short video about their admiration for the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) that will be posted on their YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/OfficialQtelQatar) and shared via online social media.
Qtel has also been driving online engagement by posting to its Facebook and Twitter accounts. Qtel created the Twitter hashtag #TrueIslam to encourage a positive conversation about the topic, and has already seen a robust response.
Over the past several weeks, Qtel has heard from the local community, its employees and partners that this is an appropriate time for local people to emphasise the positive, Islamic teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) – especially good words, good actions and good morals.
The response has come following recent incidents in the international news, and a strong wish to show people’s admiration for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
As a result, Qtel is inviting all members of the community again to share their admiration both in-person on Friday and on social media.
