Doha: Qatar Foundation for Combating Human Trafficking (QFCHT) is completing the second phase of its awareness programme for schools (all are humans), which was launched during the academic year 2012-2013.
The programme seeks, in its second phase, to achieve a number of objectives including the awareness of the target category on the concept of human trafficking, its forms and methods, identify laws and agreements on combating human trafficking, understand the current reality of the State of Qatar on the subject of human trafficking, in addition to identify the roles and functions of QFCHT, a press release issued by the QWFCHT said yesterday.
Eighteen schools were chosen of all levels to implement the programme in its second phase, in addition to completing the work with schools that have been implementing the programme in the first phase.
The programme includes in its second phase various events and activities; including an ideal lesson about anti-trafficking that continues throughout the school year, cultural events, debates and volunteer campaign for students, and the programme concludes its activities with a closing ceremony to honour the programme participants. The programme targeted in the first phase 12 schools from different levels.

Italian official meets Qatari ambassador
Rome: The Head of the Italian Foreign Minister’s Private Office Pietro Benassi met yesterday with Qatar’s Ambassador to Italy Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi on the occasion of the end of his tour of duty in the country.
The Italian official expressed appreciation to the ambassador for the efforts he exerted during his tenure.
He wished the ambassador success in his future duties and the relations between Qatar and Italy further progress and prosperity.
