Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has issued a public notice via SMS urging motorists and school bus drivers to reduce speed in residential areas and school zones.
In a statement, the Ministry warned against distractions such as mobile phone use while driving and called on students to follow safe boarding and crossing practices using designated pedestrian crossings.
The notice comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance public road safety and protect the community. This reminder also comes as nearly 417,000 students returns to in-person classes today after recent regional uncertainities.
