DOHA: The Central Municipal Council (CMC) has denied it has appointed a secretary-general after the incumbent was sacked sometime ago, and said the hunt is still on for a suitable replacement.
Applicants must have good English-language skills, the CMC has said, adding that it has begun receiving applications from yesterday with the last date ending in two weeks.
A committee led by the Chairman of CMC, Saud bin Abdullah Al Hanzab, has been set up to fill the key administrative post of the civic representative body.
The committee has specified that candidates, including women, applying for the post should have a bachelor’s degree, and good managerial and administrative skills and experience.
They must also have good command over the English language and can read, write and speak fluently, Al Arab reports.
