Khartoum: The Sudan Doctors Syndicate announced Saturday that the number of casualties in the clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces reached 411 civilian deaths and 2,023 injuries, an increase of 24 dead and 95 injured, since the fighting began two weeks ago.

In a statement posted on its Facebook page on Friday, the doctors syndicate said that nine civilians were killed in Khartoum, Bahri and Omdurman, and 65 cases were injured, most of them in Al Junaynah, including a number of unstable cases.

The syndicate said that the clashes are still ongoing between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces and have resulted in more victims, who are being counted so far in the capital and the regions.

It explained that the death toll of the fighting in the city of Al Junaynah reached 89 persons, pointing out that there is no accurate count of the number of deaths and injuries, as all hospitals in the city are out of service, in addition to the inability to reach hospitals due to the difficulty of movement and the security situation in the country.
