A snapshot of the 'Motion Analysis' virtual workshop.
Doha: DPS-Modern Indian School debaters recently participated in an online workshop titled ‘Motion Analysis’ organized by Qatar Debate. The school fielded 21 debaters for the workshop.
The resource person Mubarrat Wassey provided in-depth knowledge about the different types of motions and argumentation aspects namely assertion, reasoning, and evidence.
With various examples, he educated the attendees on different dimensions of a constructive debate and equipped them with strategies to identify and analyse motions to build cases and create policies.
Besides, the students’ comprehension skills were tested in the practical session through various exercises and games.
The entire workshop was a great learning experience and will guide the students throughout their debating career.
