Doha: Over 150 exhibitors, including 100 local and 50 international participants representing 20 countries, notably, Argentina, Chile, India, the UAE, Algeria, China, Italy, Russia, Oman, Egypt, and the Netherlands are participating in the 10th edition of Hospitality Qatar which kicks off at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) yesterday.

The event, which specialized in Hospitality, tourism, and the hotel, restaurant, and cafe sectors (HORECA), was inaugurated by the Chairman of Qatar Tourism (QT) and Chair of the Board of Directors of Visit Qatar Saad bin Ali Al Kharji.

It brings together a distinguished elite of senior officials, ambassadors, business leaders, and experts across sectors, celebrating ten years of success and growth in Qatar’s thriving Hospitality industry.

This underscores the exhibition’s continued role in solidifying its position as a leading national platform connecting professionals across Hospitality, hotels, and food and beverage services.

It spans a wide range of sectors, including hotels and resorts, interior design and furniture, food and beverages, restaurant and catering equipment, technology solutions, and eco-friendly Hospitality systems, reflecting Qatar’s standing as a regional hub for business and investment in Hospitality and tourism.

Head of Tourism Development at QT Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber stated that the event continues to play a pivotal role in advancing the Hospitality and tourism ecosystem in the nation.

Over the past decade, the event has become a primary platform bringing together local and international partners, encouraging investment, and supporting excellence across all facets of the sector, from hotels, restaurants, and cafes to service innovation and the enhancement of sustainable practices, Al Jaber highlighted.

He added that there is a commitment to supporting innovation, empowering national competencies, and strengthening partnerships that contribute to sustainable growth.

This achievement, he says, embodies Qatar’s rising position as a leading regional hub for tourism and Hospitality, in line with the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.

Director of Commercial Affairs and Operations at IFP Qatar Haya Bayan affirmed that the event marks a significant milestone in its successful journey, as the premier event for the Hospitality sector in the country.

The exhibition connects investors, suppliers, hotels, and experts, offering invaluable opportunities to exchange expertise and establish partnerships that drive sector growth, she said.

Bayan added that this year’s edition highlights the latest innovations in interior design, sustainability, technology, and food and beverages, providing both local and international participants with an effective observational benchmark to explore business opportunities in one of the region’s fastest-growing markets.

As part of the Cultural Years Program, this year’s event emphasises cultural cooperation between Qatar, Argentina, and Chile, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) and Qatar Museums (QM), reflecting the integration of culture and Hospitality and reinforcing Qatar’s identity as an open, culturally diverse, and globally connected nation.

The event also hosts the Bocuse d’Or Qatar 2025 national qualifiers, one of the world’s most prestigious culinary competitions, alongside the World Pastry Championship, and the Ambassadors of Excellence ceremony, held in partnership with QT to honour institutions and brands that have played an active role in advancing the Hospitality sector in the country.
