Doha: Katara International Academy is preparing to launch a diverse array of courses and training workshops this coming November. The offerings will cover fields such as media, corporate communications, leadership, intellectual property, creative skills, and maritime heritage.

This initiative aligns with the efforts of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation to expand its role in education, training, and capacity building, while providing high-quality programmes tailored to the needs of individuals and organizations—ultimately contributing to the development of professional competencies and the enhancement of practical and intellectual skills.

Director of Katara International Academy Dr. Hassan Al-Mannai emphasized that the launch of these courses and workshops in November marks a new phase for the Academy. It serves as a practical manifestation of its vision to provide a comprehensive educational and training environment—one rooted in quality, diversity, and a commitment to addressing the actual needs of participants.

“We have ensured that the November programmes reflect the breadth of the Academy’s areas of focus, bridging modern professional skills with cultural and heritage-based knowledge,” said Dr. Al-Mannai.

“We believe that effective training goes beyond the mere transfer of knowledge; it encompasses the development of skills, the expansion of capabilities, and the strengthening of professional proficiency in practical application.” He added, “Through these programmes, we aim to provide a high-quality training experience that appeals to a diverse range of participants. We offer them access to specialized expertise across various fields, with a strong focus on practical application. This ensures a tangible and sustainable impact, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.”

The training programmes will commence on November 1 with a course titled “Corporate Communication Management and Media Relations,” led by Aisha Omar Al-Idrisi from November 1 to 5.  This course focuses on developing corporate communication skills and building effective relationships with the media.

In the realm of leadership and professional development, the Academy is organizing a course on “Leadership and Cross-Cultural Excellence,” to be conducted by Dr. Hassan Al-Mannai from November 8 to 11. This course aims to enhance leadership skills, foster an understanding of cultural diversity, and develop the ability to communicate and work effectively within multicultural environments.

The programme lineup also includes a falconry course for youth, led by Mohammed Saeed Al-Kubaisi (November 1-4), and a course on the Qatari “Ardah” (traditional dance), led by Walid Issa Al-Mannai (November 8-12), with additional courses to be announced in due course.
