DOHA: Al Khor received rains for almost an hour early afternoon yesterday and drizzling continued until late in the evening.
A witness said it rained in Al Khor, some 42km north of Doha from 2pm until almost 3pm and it was still drizzling in the evening.
The Weather Bureau said there are chances of scattered rains in some areas today. It, however, didn’t specify the places.
The Ministry of Interior, meanwhile, warned motorists, especially those going to Sealine and Al Kharrara, to drive carefully due to low visibility caused by bad weather. Many areas in Qatar witnessed sandstorms which caused poor visibility.
The ministry said motorists should follow safety signs carefully and not drive out of the road. On its Twitter account, the ministry  said that because of low visibility on many roads, especially those to Sealine and Al Kharrara they need to drive carefully in such extraordinary weather situation.
The ministry said, “For your safety, do not hesitate to park your car out of the road in case you find difficulty in navigating the road.”
The bureau, in its routine forecast for today, said there would be strong winds offshore and high seas. Inshore, there are chances of scattered rains. There will be slight dust in the air and the weather will mostly be cloudy.
The night will be cold in Al Khor with the minimum temperature dropping to 16 degrees C. Daytime temperature all over the country will vary from 24 degrees to 26. In Doha, the minimum temperature forecast is 20 degrees and the maximum 26. The Peninsula
