CUC Ulster Offers its Unique Programme, MBA Women in Leadership
In 2021, CUC launched a unique and innovative MBA programme designed to develop, inspire, and prepare the women leaders of the future. The enhanced MBA is the only one of its kind in the Middle East and was devised by the Executive Dean, Richard Hollywood, who felt there was a need for a programme that allowed like-minded female managers and leaders to develop their skills and talents in order to further their career. What makes this different from any other MBA programme, is its unique augmented structure which is designed to provide an enhanced learning and professional development experience above and beyond the more traditional aspects of the MBA itself. Through a series of complementary additional workshops, coaching sessions, access to international business networks and guest speakers, you will travel through a professional learning and career enhancement journey unlike no other. In addition, students enjoy 2 year’s complimentary membership (including access to the resources) to the Institute of One World Leadership – who’s Positive Value Leadership model has members in over 110 countries. Their aim is to develop leaders so that they become exemplars to society and a catalyst for the adoption of social change for the benefit of all humanity.
The need to empower women to become economically self-reliant and increase their participation in the labour market and in entrepreneurship was identified as a priority in the Qatar Second National Development Strategy (2018-2022) and forms part of Human Development – one of the pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

2) You have the choice of two routes to a Bachelors degree
We believe in education for all but not that one size fits all. We all learn in different ways and we appreciate that academic study is not right for everyone. That’s why we offer two routes to achieving a Bachelors degree. You can enroll in an internationally recognized BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) qualification, a vocational qualification which is equivalent to the first 2 years of a Bachelors degree. BTEC HNDs are more practical than Bachelor degrees. There are no formal exams and you have the opportunity to apply your theoretical learning to real life business situations.
After achieving your BTEC HND, you can then either leave with a Diploma or ‘top it up’ to a full Bachelors degree with us without any further bridging units. No other university in Qatar provides this seamless integration between a BTEC HND and a Bachelors degree.
3) You can progress straight to a Masters programme at a special rate
A Masters qualification can take you to new career heights and really boost your chances of a promotion or a better job. If you decide to stay with us after completing your Bachelors degree, you will automatically be entitled to a CUC scholarship progression award, making a significant saving on the cost of tuition fees for this prestigious qualification. In addition, your immediate family can also benefit from further special rates and incentives.
