Katara concludes Eid celebrations with vibrant activities

Doha, Qatar: The Katara Cultural Village Foundation concluded its Eid Al-Adha celebrations yesterday. The festivities, which began on Wednesday and continued for three days, transformed Katara into a lively destination, attracting thousands of visitors from within Qatar and abroad. 

Director of Public Relations and Communication at Katara Salem Mabkhout Al Marri said: “We are delighted with the large public turnout for this year’s Eid Al-Adha celebrations, which reflects the growing confidence in Katara as a leading cultural and entertainment destination. We were keen to offer a diverse programme combining entertainment and culture, catering to the aspirations of visitors of all ages and contributing to spreading joy and celebration on this blessed occasion.”

From the very first day of Eid, Katara Corniche witnessed a massive turnout, with families, children, and visitors flocking to enjoy a diverse programme that blended entertainment, culture, and the arts.

The atmosphere was filled with joy, with children’s voices ringing out as they received their Eid gifts, accompanied by live music and performances that brought vibrancy and happiness to the area. The distinctive summer ambiance of Katara Beach also attracted many visitors. In addition, the Al Thuraya Planetarium in Building 41 presented 3D space shows, which continued until Saturday.

The fireworks displays were among the most popular attractions, illuminating the Katara sky with dazzling colors. The crowds gathered on the Katara Corniche to witness this festive spectacle, which has become a highly anticipated event during Eid. The military parade also drew large crowds, with children and families eagerly capturing the moments with photos and videos.

The events weren’t limited to entertainment alone. Katara offered a comprehensive experience combining leisure and artistic atmosphere through art exhibitions that remained open to the public throughout the Eid holidays, adding an exceptional character that reflected the spirit and diversity of the occasion.

Katara’s restaurants and cafes also witnessed a remarkable turnout of visitors who chose to spend their evenings in a distinctive maritime setting. Meanwhile, the walkways and plazas were filled with families who found in Katara a space to celebrate and create memories.

A large number of visitors praised the festive atmosphere provided by Katara during the Eid holidays, emphasising that the variety of events, including artistic, entertainment, and cultural performances, contributed to creating a complete family experience suitable for all ages. Many also expressed their admiration for the excellent organisation and vibrant atmosphere that made Katara a preferred destination for spending and enjoying the Eid holiday.
