Doha: The Department of Zakat Fund at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs provided aid worth QR13,307,988 in November 2022.
Around 1,398 families eligible for assistance have benefited from the aid within Qatar.
The aid include periodic and lump-sum aid, all of which are paid by the Department of Zakat Fund for eligible registered families according to Shariah standards and regulations, and the approved mechanisms.
The amounts included nearly QR8,484,515 in monthly aid provided for eligible families, and the lump-sum aid, which is a one-time aid as needed, with the amount of QR 4,823,473.
The Department of Zakat Fund receives zakat funds through various collection channels, including collection offices and points across the country, in addition to Qatar Zakat Fund website.
