Doha, Qatar: Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi met yesterday with Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Ambassador H E Dr. Mohamed Al Amin Weld Kik, who is also the Head of the Legal Affairs Sector and the accompanying delegation, who is visiting the country on the occasion of the Supreme Judiciary Council’s hosting of the General Assembly of the Arab Investment Court (AIC) of 2024.
During the meeting, they discussed the legal cooperation relations between the Ministry of Justice and the AIC, in addition to emphasizing Qatar’s support for the AIC and revitalizing its role as an Arab legal mechanism for the Arab League in the field of investment.
Within the framework of coordination between the Ministry of Justice and the AIC, a legal lecture was given at the headquarters of the Ministry of Justice following the meeting, in the presence of Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League H E Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Al Amin Weld Kik, who is also the Head of the Legal Affairs Sector, and a number of Their Excellencies judges and an elite group of jurists. During the lecture, First President of the Commercial Court of Appeal in Casablanca in the Kingdom of Morocco Abdelwahed Safouri, member of the AIC, presented the advantages provided by the AIC in the field of arbitration.
