DOHA: The Second International Inter-Universities Championship for the Debates in Arabic language will be held under the patronage of H H Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation. The four-day event from April 21 to 24 will be organised by Qatar Debate Center at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
Some 43 universities of Arab countries are expected to participate in the debates. In addition, several Arabic delegations from the universities in Australia, Turkey, US, UK, Canada, and Malaysia will also take part. The championship aims to strengthen relations among the universities in the fields of education and culture and to come closer to the Arab youths.
Doha: Qatar District Cooling Company (Qatar Cool) recently announced updates on its operations at the Pearl-Qatar and West Bay districts.
Following a trend towards eco-friendly technologies in the region, the company’s three plants witnessed an increase in cooling energy produced as the demand for district cooling service continues to rise. “Qatar Cool’s operations have been steadily growing over the past few years as they have completely sold out the capacity of the two plants in West Bay. Furthermore, the company is in design stage for a third plant that will serve waiting list customers,” the company said.
