Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) said that the country will experience fresh to strong northwesterly wind from Saturday, April 3, afternoon until Wednesday, April 7, ranging between 15-25 KT gusting to 35 KT. Blowing dust and low visibility below 2 km is also likely due to this weather condition.

Temperatures are also likely to decrease due to the northwesterly wind, with the minimum expected to range between 16 degrees to 22 degrees Celsius. While the maximum will range between 23 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius.

During this period, wave heights are also expected to range between 5-8 ft exceeding 10 ft at times in some areas offshore and will reach 5ft in some parts inshore.

QMD also said that "its expected to witness the phenomenon of high tides coincided with strong northwesterly wind and high sea".

QMD urged all citizens and residents to take extra precaution and avoid all marine activities during this period.
