Amir and UAE President discuss regional and international developments

Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with the President of the United Arab Emirates HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss the latest regional and international developments and efforts to contain tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

During the meeting, held today in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed ways to reduce escalation in light of the rapidly unfolding events in the region, the continued Iranian aggression and its security repercussions, and its impact on global energy supplies and market stability.

In this regard, His Highness the Amir emphasized the importance of prioritizing diplomatic solutions as a means of resolving conflicts and the necessity of strengthening joint efforts to maintain regional security and stability, thereby mitigating the repercussions of current crises at both the regional and international levels.

His Highness the Amir and His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates reviewed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them, emphasizing the importance of intensifying coordination and consultation on various issues, reflecting the strength of the fraternal ties and strategic partnership between the two nations.

The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Personal Representative of HH the Amir, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and a number of other senior officials.

From the UAE side, the meeting was attended by Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chief of the Presidential Court HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor HH Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and a number of other sheikhs and senior officials.
