Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received today in Doha the UK Secretary of State for Defence HE John Healey.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation and ways to support and strengthen it, particularly in the field of defense. They also discussed the escalating military tensions in the region and their serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, as well as ways to resolve all disputes peacefully.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to halt Iran's unjustified attacks on Qatar and other countries in the region. He warned against the irresponsible targeting of vital infrastructure, especially that related to water, food, and energy facilities.
He also emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination, intensifying joint efforts, returning to the negotiating table, and prioritizing reason and wisdom to contain the crisis. This is essential to ensure global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental safety, and the stability of the region.
