Doha: The Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah met here yesterday Kim Jong-hoon, head of the Korean National Action Plan Committee.
Doha: The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani yesterday issued decision No. 21 of 2013 appointing Ambassador Youssuf bin Abdulrahman Jassim Al Muftah as Director of the Duty Office at the Foreign Ministry.
The decision, effective immediately, has annulled whatever provisions contravening its rules.
Brussels: Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al Thani, the Ambassador of Qatar to Belgium, yesterday laid for the foundation stone of the Qatar embassy building in Brussels.
The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by Didier Reynders, the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and European Affairs. Members of the Qatar-Europeran Friendship Association, representatives of the European Union and Arab ambassadors accredited to Belgium also attended.
DOHA: MP Vincent, a Congress leader from the southern Indian state of Kerala and member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, will address a seminar organised by the Indian Cultural and Arts Society (Incas) today.
The event will begin at Crystal Palace hotel at 7pm. Prominent Qatar-based businessman and Chairman of the OICC Global Committee Advocate C K Menon will also address the seminar, Incas said yesterday.
