Doha, Qatar: The “Hour and Hour “ program concluded its “Back to School” activities, organised in collaboration with the Qatari National Commission for Education, Culture and Science at West Walk, under the slogan “With Knowledge and Work, We Build the Nation,” after four days packed with educational, cultural, sports, and recreational activities, amid large public attendance and active participation from a number of ministries, institutions, and educational, health, cultural, social, and sports entities.
Since its launch, the event witnessed distinguished official and public attendance, with the participation of a number of officials, directors, heads of sports federations, and representatives of participating entities and institutions, alongside families and students, reflecting the importance of the initiative and its success in attracting various segments of society.
The event was organized to celebrate the return of male and female students to their school desks and to prepare them for the new academic year in an atmosphere combining benefit and enjoyment, reinforcing the values of knowledge, learning, work, and ambition through an integrated, interactive community experience.
The activities kicked off with an official opening ceremony on the main stage, attended by a number of senior officials, guests, partners, heads of sports federations, along with participating families and students.
The opening ceremony included a variety of segments that reflected the event’s objectives and message, amid great interaction from children and families.
Over four days, “Back to School” offered a diverse program targeting children, students, and families, including educational and creative workshops, cultural competitions, interactive activities, and artistic, sports, and entertainment performances.
The event also dedicated a number of educational and awareness corners in cooperation with several official bodies and participating institutions, covering topics related to health, culture, education, sports, and society, offering visitors the opportunity to learn about the services and initiatives of participating entities in an interactive manner suitable for children and families.
The event also witnessed the participation of several sports federations through various sports displays and activities, contributing to promoting a culture of sports and physical activity among children and youth, and adding an atmosphere of excitement and interaction throughout the event days.
CEO of the “Hour and Hour “ program Tamani Al-Yafei, affirmed that the “Back to School” event stemmed from the program’s belief in the importance of supporting students and families and celebrating the start of the academic year in a unique way that combines education, entertainment, and community participation.
She stated that the event’s slogan, “With Knowledge and Work, We Build the Nation,” expresses the core message the program aims to convey to new generations, that knowledge, learning, and diligent work are fundamental pillars for building the individual, society, and shaping the future.
Al-Yafei added: “We were delighted by the large attendance at the event, and by the participation of officials, directors, heads of sports federations, and various entities and institutions, alongside families and our sons and daughters.”
