Qatar, Kyrgyzstan worked to build forward-looking relations: Envoy

Doha: Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic H E Chyngyz Eshimbekov affirmed that the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the State of Qatar have worked to build a dynamic and forward-looking relationship and that the diplomatic relations between the two countries have rapidly grown to the level of representation at the level of embassies in Bishkek and Doha, respectively.

In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the celebration of the National Day of the state, he said that thanks to regular visits and official meetings, Kyrgyzstan and Qatar have significantly advanced bilateral treaty framework and added: “We highly regard the continuous support and attention of Qatari leadership, ministries and non-governmental organisations towards the development of brotherly relations with Kyrgyzstan.” The Ambassador said: “We are keen to contribute and promote cooperation that will focus on enhancing further all means of communication, promotion of peoples interaction, travel and tourism, trade and logistics, investments and infrastructure growth, humanitarian activities, sport and cultural exchanges.”

The National Day is an important date for every sovereign state as it symbolises all stripes of the people on the road to nationhood, as it reminds of all the deeds and sacrifices of heroic ancestors in each of our country’s history and obviously, every new generation needs to safeguard and advance these achievements, he said, adding that it is remarkable to note that since the times of the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, Qataris have fought its way and advanced to true independence and prosperity, thanks to continuous leadership, their wisdom and courage. And when we look at current perspectives, Qatar National Day once again reflects the world great achievements of your nation in its modern history, he noted.

“Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani raised Qatar to further success both in economic development and in international affairs,” he said.

Despite many challenges lately Qatar has been progressing towards its National Development Goals, “I am amazed to see the pace of new development with all the construction works, new highways and metro lines, new stadiums and sports facilities, new air and seaports, the remarkable success of local industries, R&D and educational institutions. On top of that Qatar’s contribution to global development and international affairs has been steady and solid,” Ambassador Eshimbekov added.
