Doha: Ooredoo has announced a significant change in the way post-paid services are charged.
From today, the company removes advance rental charges for post-paid services so that customers no longer pay in advance and for the first time have a true post-paid experience.
Changes aim to improve the billing experience and ensure that people have a clear understanding of their communication costs.
The company will refund money on any advanced services charged in previous bills and restart Mobile Internet Packs, BlackBerry and Mobile Broadband bundles for Shahry customers.
Customers with any unused balance on packs terminated and restarted will be refunded the difference. The next bill will only reflect charges for that month.
Fatima Sultan Al Kuwari, Director of Community & Public Relations, said: “Ooredoo has supported customer research initiatives over the past year and the process of listening to our customers has enabled us to identify areas for review and improvement. The post-paid billing process was a key area where we could help customers and provide clarity about what they were paying for.”
Ooredoo continues to update and refine its billing process so that customers get information they need on time.
Ooredoo moved towards providing e-bills in 2011, cutting down on paper wastage and making it easier for customers to store and access bills and is consistently simplifying the billing process and making payments more convenient.
