Meteorology Department predicts strong winds, rise in temperature over weekend

Doha: The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast windy conditions and rising temperatures across the country over the weekend, with rough seas expected at times.

For today, temperature is predicted to be around 27°C during the day accompanied by slight dust and relatively cold at night.

On Friday, temperature rises to maximum of 30°C and scattered clouds. Winds will shift between northwesterly and northeasterly directions at 5 to 15 knots.

Temperature is expected to peak to maximum of 32°C by Saturday, with relatively hot daytime conditions and scattered clouds. Hazy weather is expected in some areas, while winds will be lighter.

Sea conditions on these three days range between 2 and 7 feet and can rise up to 10 feet at times.
