DOHA: The first youth forum organised by the Activities and Events Management Department at the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage has recommended the establishment of a youth advisory council for young Qataris here.
The three-day forum has also recommended organising youth projects and promoting discussions with the youth aimed at improving the communication between the youth and the community. Initiatives to promote exchange of experience among youth centres and setting up TV channels raising youth concerns were also among the recommendations.
The forum which concluded on Saturday was participated in by more than 300 youths from various youth clubs, centres and organisations across the country.
One of the particular initiatives discussed was a project to empower the Qatari youth by providing necessary educational support and opportunity to express themselves.
