DOHA: Qatar Football Association (QFA) celebrated the PSD@21 event organised to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the Philippine School Doha (PSD) at Al Gharafa Sports Club.
QFA supported the event by providing the venue for the school to host the event, trophies and shields for the winners of different competitions which included dance and sports day competitions.
QFA approached Al Noor Institute for the Blind students, to design and produce PSD and QFA branded shirts that were distributed to the staff to wear during the event, along with trophies and shields that were specially made for the event.
All the profits went to the students of the Al Noor Institute as part of their skill development programmes. Attended by thousands of people, the event kick-started with a parade.
Khalid Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications at QFA said: “We are happy to collaborate with PSD to organise this event successfully for the students. Our vision at QFA is to ensure that the community partakes in sports activity to achieve living a healthy lifestyle.”
