Doha, Qatar: In line with its efforts to entrench a culture of excellence and promote creativity and innovation in harmony with Qatar National Vision 2030, particularly its pillar on human development, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs organised the fourth edition of the Outstanding Employee Award ceremony for 2025.
The event was held yesterday, under the theme “Leadership (Riyada)”, and attended by Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem.
The ceremony was attended by President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council H E Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, as well as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al Thani, alongside a number of senior officials and honoured employees.
The organisation of this ceremony reflects the Ministry’s commitment to fostering institutional excellence, encouraging innovation, and motivating talented employees to continue their contributions, in line with national development priorities.
In his address, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs emphasised that institutional excellence is the result of sincere work, dedication, and professionalism in carrying responsibility. He noted that honouring outstanding employees represents a moment of pride in national competencies that have contributed to enhancing the Ministry’s performance and advancing its mission.
The Minister stressed that recognition is not an end in itself, but rather an affirmation of a deeply rooted culture that views human capital as the essence of development and the cornerstone of leadership and institutional sustainability.
He added that the ceremony’s theme reflects the Ministry’s philosophy, which is based on quality performance, effective achievement, and a strong sense of responsibility in serving society, caring for mosques, promoting moderation, reinforcing Islamic values, and supporting the community through waqf and zakat channels.
For his part, the Undersecretary Dr. Sheikh Khalid highlighted that true excellence is measured not only by figures, but by the positive impact employees leave on performance development, service improvement, and institutional efficiency.
He affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to embedding values of excellence, innovation, moderation, mastery, leadership, partnership, and sustainability.
Director of Human Resources, Mohammed Hassan Al Malki, stated that the fourth edition of the ceremony reaffirms the Ministry’s dedication to supporting talent and creating a motivating and sustainable work environment. He noted that this year witnessed, for the first time, the recognition of distinguished senior employees in appreciation of their long-standing contributions, as well as the honouring of employees with disabilities, underscoring that excellence is achieved through determination and effort.
The ceremony also included honouring the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau with the Supporting Partner Shield, in recognition of its pivotal role in advancing administrative development and institutional excellence.
The event concluded with the honouring of outstanding employees across various job categories and administrative levels, delivering a clear message that excellence is a continuous approach and that leadership is built through teamwork, integrated roles, and ongoing performance development.
