Mini Box Appeal campaign organised by the Radisson Blu Hotel Doha in partnership with Qatar Charity has come to a successful end on Thursday, where 600 charity boxes were handed over to the charity organisation.
During the month of April, the hotel has been working with schools, hotel guests, individuals, and companies to fill boxes primarily with everyday essential items such as t-shirt, cap, disposable razor, shaving cream, deodorant, toothbrush, talcum powder, toothpaste, small hand towel, comb, soap and shampoo.
The hotel managed to hand over 110 additional boxes than the originally promised 500.
The partnership between Qatar Charity and Radisson Blu Hotel Doha will continue during the main Box Appeal campaign in the month of September. During a recent press conference organised by Qatar Charity, officials of the charity praised the idea of Box Appeal campaign and the wide spread effect it will have in educating the youth on the practices of giving back to community and supporting the less fortunate.
