Tokyo: US President Donald Trump arrived in Japan on Sunday, the first stop of his Asian tour, which also includes South Korea, China, Vietnam and the Philippines.

During his three-day visit, Trump will hold talks with Japanese Prime Shinzo Abe on ways to boost relations between the two countries and issues of common concern, particularly North Korea's nuclear issue.

The trip, which lasts until mid-November, is the longest foreign tour of Trump since he took office on January 20. Trump is also scheduled to participate in two regional summits, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Vietnam and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the Philippines.
