Doha, Qatar: The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) has unveiled a significantly enhanced version of the Unified Platform for Employment and Professional Development “Kawader,” introducing advanced digital and artificial intelligence features designed to better support jobseekers and enable government entities to access suitable national talent efficiently.
Kawader is a platform, in which all jobs available in Qatar in all sectors, government bodies, and private entities are displayed to provide citizens and children of Qatari women with the opportunity to obtain jobs that suit their qualifications.
Director of the Nomination and Replacement Department at the CGB Dhabya Ahmed Al Buainain, said the upgraded platform represents a qualitative leap in recruitment and career development services.
Speaking to Qatar TV yesterday, she noted that the new version focuses on improving user experience, accelerating performance, and ensuring seamless access to and handling of data, while leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance job matching accuracy and overall efficiency.
Al Buainain explained that, for jobseekers, the platform now allows the easy creation of a professional profile supported by AI tools. Importantly, job opportunities are matched based on skills and qualifications rather than job titles alone, expanding opportunities and ensuring a more realistic alignment between candidates and available roles.
For recruiting entities, Kawader now offers more precise search and nomination tools, providing a comprehensive view of national competencies and significantly reducing recruitment time while improving hiring quality.
She stressed that the platform’s objective goes beyond merely publishing job vacancies, aiming instead to achieve genuine alignment between jobseekers and employers.
Government entities can nominate candidates for listed positions according to predefined requirements without accessing candidates’ names during the nomination stage, reinforcing fairness and objectivity in recruitment.
Among the most notable enhancements is a new AI-powered user interface that simplifies the job search journey for applicants and supports employers throughout the vacancy posting, nomination, and appointment processes with higher efficiency. AI-driven job matching has been further strengthened to improve accuracy and widen employment opportunities for jobseekers.
The upgraded platform has also been integrated with more than 15 government entities, streamlining procedures and further enhancing user experience. New user categories have been added, including university students, who can now access part-time job opportunities, and school students.
A training courses feature has been introduced to help jobseekers enhance their readiness for the labour market, alongside the activation of instant notifications for both jobseekers and employers to ensure rapid follow-up on platform updates.
In addition, Kawader now displays workforce plan data to support informed planning and decision-making, and includes an intelligent chatbot to provide immediate support and respond to inquiries.
Reflecting its expanded role, the platform’s official name has been updated to the Unified Platform for Employment and Professional Development “Kawader,” instead of the National Platform for Employment Coordination, underscoring its focus on both recruitment and capacity building.
Al Buainain noted that the developed version positions Kawader as an integrated, lifelong career journey platform that begins with students and continues across all professional stages. At the school level, students can explore workforce plans, in-demand specialisations, and scholarship fields, helping them make informed academic choices aligned with national labour market needs.
At the university level, recent amendments to the Civil Human Resources Law and its executive regulations now allow university students to engage in part-time work, with these opportunities to be included in the 2026 workforce needs plan.
