Baladna signs exclusive distribution agreement with Ali Bin Ali Group

Baladna Company, one of the world’s largest goat and Awassi sheep dairy farm,  signed exclusive distribution agreement with Ali Bin Ali Group, one of Qatar’s largest conglomerate and Qatar’s largest distribution company, to expand Baladna dairy products retail presence in Qatar.
The agreement is expected to see Balanda brand products introduced into over 100 select retail outlets across the country.
John Dore, Chief Executive Officer of Baladna Company, commented, “Our partnership with Ali Bin Ali & Partners is a strategic move that will allow us to provide our customers the convenience of finding premium Baladna dairy products in their local grocery. Through this agreement, we hope to achieve one of Baladna’s main objectives – to actively support national food security in Qatar as part of Qatar National Vision 2030 and to deliver high quality products to the market that can compete with imported products.”

The Baladna farm, built over 700,000 m², includes 40,000 heads of Awassi sheep which are characterised by their ability to adapt to withstand high temperature and produce a high quality milk. In addition, the farms also houses 5,000 goats and an animal feed factory yielding 100 tons per day.
Baladna is now in cooperation with local producers of cow milk to cover its existing needs to the factory in accordance with statutory quality standards.Baladna plans importing an additional 10,000 goats with further development of an 5,000 cow facility aiming to cover 40% of the fresh dairy market and meeting the meat market needs.
