Buenos Aires: Five Syrians with falsified Greek passports have been arrested in Buenos Aires, a police source said on Sunday.
The source said the arrests occurred at at a downtown hotel, but did not provide information about the date that the suspects were detained.
The official said the Syrians were to appear in court in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.
The United Nations estimates that more than four million Syrians have fled the civil war ravaging their country, a conflict which has killed more than 250,000 people.
But some security advocates worry that Islamist extremists could use the exodus to secretly send jihadists to the West to launch terror strikes.
