Ilham Marikar addressing the seminar.
Doha, Qatar: A seminar recently organised to promote positive parenting and address childhood disorders gathered more than 100 Sri Lankan community members.
The highlight of the seminar was a one-hour awareness program conducted by international trainer, psychological counselor, and Sri Lankan university visiting lecturer, Ilham Marikar.
Marikar’s expertise in the field brought valuable insights to the participants, shedding light on effective parenting strategies and methods to tackle childhood disorders.
The event organised by Sri Lankan Community Welfare Federation and Clean Nation Movement was held at the Sri Lankan Stafford Kindergarten School, the community’s commitment to promote holistic well-being and social welfare.
The seminar not only provided a platform for parents to learn from a distinguished expert but also incorporated engaging activities for children. This approach aimed to create a positive and inclusive environment, ensuring that parents could focus on the seminar content while their children were entertained.
Isham Marikar of Clean Nation Movement said, “Parents had a very good time with the resource person since we made their kids busy with activities. It was a huge success, and we hope it will benefit each and every one to be a better parent.”
The event received praise for its unique blend of education and practical implementation. Attendees left the event equipped with new knowledge, tools, and a sense of community support, fostering an environment conducive to positive parenting and overall family well-being.
