Doha, Qatar: Qatar Airways announced that while its scheduled flight operations remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace, it is operating a limited flight corridor.
Qatar Airways intends to operate the following flights arriving at Hamad International Airport on March 9: Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (BER), Frankfurt (FRA), London (LHR), Zurich (ZRH), and Muscat (MCT).
The airline clarified that these flights are only for passengers whose final destination is Doha.
It also stated that these flights do not constitute confirmation of the resumption of scheduled commercial operations.
Passengers were also urged to refrain from arriving at the departure airport unless they hold a valid, confirmed ticket for travel.
Qatar Airways also operated repatriation flights today, March 8, which departed from Hamad International Airport to the following airports: Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (BER), Frankfurt (FRA), London (LHR), and Zurich (ZRH).
Priority for these flights was given to stranded passengers with families, elderly passengers, and those with urgent medical and compassionate travel needs. Each flight was pre-allocated directly by Qatar Airways to such affected passengers.
The airline stressed that the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew remain its highest priority during this period of disruption.
It also stated that a further update will be provided on March 9.
