DOHA: A survey of living conditions shows that Qataris rank highest in food satisfaction index followed by health satisfaction indicator.
The survey was conducted by the Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics over a year, from September 2012 to September 2013.
The overall satisfaction level of Qataris was found to be 85 percent but the highest score (95 percent) the community was assigned was for food satisfaction.
Health satisfaction came in second with a percentage level of 94, with the score for personal safety being the same. But as for housing and environment index, the community scored 93 percent.
Brief details of the findings of the living conditions survey were given as part of a monthly statistical bulletin the development ministry issued yesterday for February 2015.
This is the first monthly bulletin the ministry issued and it said it will continue with the practice every month. The next bulletin will be for March.
The country’s population grew by 10.3 percent in a year until February, to over 2.33 million, while the monthly increase in the population was 4.9 percent. There were fewer marriages solemnized in February than January despite rising population, and the number of divorces was also low.
The bulletin also mentions the number of social security beneficiaries in the month, and the number of new cars registered (which was lower as compared to January), among other details.
