Doha: The Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of the Supreme Education Council
H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Ali Al Hammadi yesterday visited Mohamed bin Abdul Wahab Independent Secondary School for Boys, Khalid Bin Al Waleed Preparatory Independent School for Boys and Zubaydah Secondary Independent School for Girls.
During the visits marking the start of the academic year 2014-2015, the Minister was briefed on preparations by Independent schools to receive students.
He was also briefed on the readiness of schools and administrative and teaching staff in terms of logistical, administrative and academic services.
Meanwhile, Fawzia Al Khater, Director, Education Institute at SEC, and Khalifa Al Darhim, Director, Office of Independent Schools, also visited several schools to inspect the buildings of new schools, as well as facilities and equipment.
After a tour of Al Maha Academy and Al Hayat International School the Director of the Private Schools Office said the SEC is continuing its policy of unifying holidays and the start of the scholastic year for Independent and private schools and that all private schools opened their doors to students on the first day of the academic year 2014-2015 yesterday.
