Emir receives credentials of new ambassadors

DOHA: HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received Monday morning credentials of two new ambassadors to Qatar.

HH the Emir received the credentials of HE Dana Shell Smith, Ambassador of the United States and HE Eric Chevallier, Ambassador of Republic of France.

Their Excellences the ambassadors conveyed to HH the Emir greetings of their countries' leaders and their best wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Qatari people.

For his part, HH the Emir welcomed the new ambassadors and wished them success in their missions and the relations between Qatar and their countries further development and prosperity.

The new diplomats received an official reception ceremony before the presentation of their credentials.


 

Emir meets outgoing ambassadors of Belgium, Kazakhstan

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at his Emiri Diwan Office on Monday morning with each of HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium accredited to Qatar Herman Sercus and HE Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Qatar Azamat Berdibay who were greeting HH the Emir to after the expiry of their tenure in Qatar.

During the meetings, HH the Emir granted their Excellencies the two Ambassadors the sash of merit in appreciation to their efforts and roles for bolstering relations between the State of Qatar and their countries.

HH the Emir also wished the outgoing Ambassadors success in their future assignments and further progress and growth to the relations.

For their part, their Excellencies the two Ambassadors expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Emir and the State's officials for the cooperation they found during their term of office in Doha. (QNA)
