DOHA: Mowasalat will introduce a number of eco-friendly hybrid and electrical buses and those powered by natural gas for the forthcoming climate change conference in Doha, an official said here yesterday.
This will include 100 buses running on GTL (Gas to Liquid) that will be launched in collaboration with Woqod. The company has made elaborate plans to meet the transport requirements of the nearly 17,000 delegates who are expected to attend this major conference that will take place in the last week of November.
“There will be a total of 425 buses operating shuttle services round the clock to the conference venues,” said Brett Subritzky, business development manager of Mowasalat addressing the UITP MENA Public Transport and Large Events Summit yesterday.
