DOHA: Katara Hospitality is showcasing some of its award-winning hotels at the ongoing World Travel Market (WTM), London 2012.
One of these acclaimed hotels is The Ritz-Carlton Doha which reaped three awards at the prestigious International Hotel Awards held on Sunday, having been recognised as the Best Hotel Qatar, the Best Hotel Arabia and the Best International Hotel.
Opened in 2001, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has been at the forefront of the hospitality industry in Qatar for over a decade, setting the standards of luxury hospitality not only in the country, but in the region and beyond.
On the same occasion, within the European Hotel Awards, Hotel Schweizerhof Bern has been recognised as the Best Hotel Interior, thus rewarding the efforts of the interior design firm MKV Design and its lead designer Maria Vafiadis who directly supervised the project during the last renovation.
Witness to Bern’s events for over 150 years, Schweizerhof Bern stands for timeless elegance and cosmopolitanism and, after two years of extensive renovation, the hotel emerged mid last year, resplendent in its new finery.
In addition the two Raffles hotels owned by Katara Hospitality have also been recently recognised.
For ten consecutive years, travel industry leaders and peers once again acknowledged Raffles Singapore gracious hospitality and inimitable service. Based on the votes received from TTG readers across Asia-Pacific, the Grand Dame was conferred the Best Luxury Hotel award within the 23rd Annual TTG Travel Awards in October 2012 during an awards ceremony held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Spa My Blend by Clarins of Le Royal Monceau — Raffles Paris was acknowledged earlier this year as the Best Spa of the World by the leading luxury travel network, Virtuoso, along with its award-winning magazine VITUOSO LIFE.
