DOHA: As part of the national strategy on mental health, Qatar is working on a new law regulating the facilities and services related to psychological and psychiatric care.
The national strategy includes establishment of a dedicated hospital and clinics for child psychiatry, separate from such facilities targeting adults, a local Arabic daily reported yesterday.
De-addiction centres to rehabilitate addicts will also be set up as part of the national strategy, where admission and stay will be compulsory for them, added the daily.
