BAGHDAD: Iraq raised the price of Basra light crude to U.S. buyers for June by 20 cents to a discount of $1.90 per barrel against the Argus (ASCI) benchmark and also raised prices to Europe and Asia, the State Oil Marketing Organisation (SOMO) said on Thursday.
The June price for Asian buyers was set at a discount of 15 cents a barrel to the average of Oman/Dubai quotes versus a discount of 70 cents for the previous month.
The price of Basra crude for European buyers was set at a discount of $3.35 to the North Sea spot benchmark BFOE versus $4.85 below the benchmark the previous month.
The June price for Kirkuk to the Americas was set at a premium of $1.30 to the Argus Sour Crude Index (ASCI), up 10 cents from May.
The June price for Kirkuk to Europe was set at dated Brent minus $1.90 a barrel versus a discount of $2.55 the previous month.
