Doha: Qatar Airways has not cancelled any flight and instead put in place plans to operate all scheduled flights to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to and from Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania.
Ground transportation is being provided both ways between the two African nations’ airports, a notification by Qatar’s national carrier said yesterday.
“No flights have been cancelled, however passengers may experience some delays in schedule,” a Qatar Airways advisory said.
It urged travellers to check with local Qatar Airways office for further information on changes or rescheduling tickets.
A major fire on Wednesday forced the shutdown of Nairobi’s airport and many flights at east Africa’s busiest air transport hub were cancelled.
International flights have resumed from the airport, Kenya Airports Authority said. QNA
