Authorities shutter three food outlets

DOHA: Three food outlets in Doha faced temporary closure for violating health regulations.

The food section in a commercial centre was closed down for failure to store food items in a proper manner, while a restaurant in a four-star hotel faced  closure for violating the rules. 

A food stuff store owned by a private company was also shut down for similar reasons, reported a local Arabic daily. The violations were detected during inspections conducted by the Doha Municipality.

A shopping complex in Al Ghuwairiya was closed down for one month for selling expired food items. A total of 1,380kg of food stuff and 980kg of fish were destroyed by Al Khor and Al Dakhira municipalities after having found to be unfit for consumption. The Peninsula
