Kerry calls Prime Minister

Doha: The Prime Minister and Foreign Minister H E Sheikh Hamad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al Thani received  a telephone call from US Secretary of State John Kerry yesterday.

They discussed bilateral relations, besides  the situation in the region and the latest developments  in Syria.

Cote d’Ivoire president’s visit

 

Doha: President of the Republic of Cote d’Ivoire Hassan Dramane Ouattara will arrive in Doha  today  for a several days visit.

The Emir H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani will  hold talks with the visiting president on relations between the two countries and issues of common concern.

Hungary minister arrives today

 

Doha: Pal Kovacs, Hungary’s Minister of State for Climate and Energy Issues is arriving to Doha today for a two-day visit, a press release from the embassy said yesterday. The Minister of State will be accompanied by directors of different Hungarian energy companies. The delegation will be received by H E Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Minister of Business and Trade.

During the visit Qatari-Hungarian Agreement for Economic, Business and Technical Co-operation will be signed.  Negotiations with top officials of Kahramaa and other organisations are also included in his agenda. The main purpose of the visit is to promote and strengthen cooperation between the countries in the field of energy, as well as to enhance direct economic and business activity on a bilateral basis, the press release said.
