DOHA: QIIB received a group of students from Mohammad bin Abdulwahhab Independent High School for Boys who spent a ‘Professional Day’ at the bank as part of the bank’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
The students visited various departments of the bank and listened to detailed presentations about different Islamic banking operations. The students also got first-hand information about the functioning of the Banking Hall and the department dedicated to serving VIP customers.
Jamal Abdullah Al Jamal, QIIB Deputy CEO, and a number of senior executives met the students and welcomed them to the bank.
The Bank is keen to support students in shaping up their future careers, Jamal Abdullah said. He briefed the students about QIIB’s history since its establishment in 1991. The Bank was able to achieve continuous growth and expand its presence throughout the State, thereby becoming one of the most important Islamic banks in the State of Qatar and the region. Jamal Abdullah also elaborated on the operations of a Shariah-compliant bank.
