DOHA: Over 38,000 tickets have been sold for the “Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic” which opens tomorrow at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

The event which runs for four days will have eight public and three private shows.

After months of preparation, the magnificent skaters are ready to dazzle audiences as they prepare to take boys and girls, as well as mums and dads, on an enchanting journey through their favourite Disney stories, both classic and new.

Produced by Feld Entertainment, Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic brings together an international team of award-winning skaters, well-loved songs, stunning choreography, dazzling sets and beautiful costumes to provide fond Disney memories.

“We are really excited about the start of the shows. The cast and crew have worked extremely hard and many hours have gone into making this mammoth production possible. From the ice rink, to the innovative sets, to iron-on sequins on the costumes, each detail has been fine tuned to make this a once in a lifetime experience. This stunning production will leave audiences breathless and we are proud to share the Disney magic by bringing this event to Qatar,” said Ali Haidary, Founder and CEO of Sport & Entertainment Solutions (SES), the organisers of Disney On Ice, produced by Feld Entertainment.

Tomorrow Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their friends from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast will be taking to the ice with beloved princesses Cinderella and Snow White.

Joining them are Woody and Buzz from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story, Nemo and Dory from Disney/Pixar’s Finding Nemo and even Stitch from Lilo & Stitch drops in to wreak his usual havoc during this grand celebration.

Ahead of the opening Mickey and Minnie Mouse were spotted around town, including in front of Doha’s iconic skyline on the Corniche and visiting fans at a local mall.

Children and adults of all ages were thrilled to have their pictures taken with their favourite Disney characters.
