75 Taliban killed during counter-terrorism raids

Kabul:  At least 75 Taliban militants were killed following counter-terrorism operations in the past 24 hours, Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior said.
In a statement released today the Ministry said, the militants were killed in Nangarhar, Parwan, Kunduz, Zabul, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Ghazni, Farah and Helmand provinces.
The statement, carried by Afghan Khama Press, further added Afghan national army, Afghan national police and Afghan intelligence – national directorate of security (NDS) operatives jointly conducted the operations.
At least 28 Taliban militant was also injured and 4 others were arrested during the operations, MoI said.
The statement also added that Afghan security forces confiscated various types of weapons, ammunition and explosives during the operations.
Afghan police forces also neutralized two improvised explosive device (IED) during operations in Paktia and Herat provinces, MoI said.                 AGENCIES
